Some of our customers have put their own padding into swim tops, by making a tiny incision between the lining (we don’t recommend this 🙈 but it is doable). Others find wearing another swim top under their onesie provides that extra support they need.
Subsequently, why do swimmers wear JOLYN? JOLYN was originally founded for competitive swimmers and water polo players who wanted swim suits that were more flattering and far less boring than what was available from traditional swim brands.

Also the question is, are JOLYN swimsuits see through? The suit didn’t ride up my bum, as Jolyn advertises, or at least no more than my other practice swimsuits. (It required occasional adjusting, but I’ve never worn a swimsuit that didn’t.) The swimsuit is fully lined, so I didn’t have to worry about it being see-through when wet.
Additionally, how do JOLYN swimsuits fit? Your one piece swimsuit should sit smoothly across the length of your torso, with no bunching of material. Bunching means your suit might be too big, or that you need to tighten the straps to keep the material taught.

Are JOLYN tech suits good?
It is a great suit for distance swimmers since it is not to tight. The stomach area is a little loose but the top area was a little tight. But overall the fit was great! There is not seams and it has a very clean look to it!
How long do bathing suits last?
A general rule of thumb is that a swimsuit should last somewhere between three months to a year. Ultimately though, you are the only one who determines how long a swimsuit should last.

Is JOLYN ethical?
Jolyn swimsuits are ethically made in the USA from Italian fabrics. Their suits are made for athletes and are great for competitive swimmers, volleyball players, etc.

Does JOLYN run small or big?
Our suits tend to run smaller than most other swimwear brands. If you are unsure of your size we usually recommend going one size up from what you normally wear.
Should I size up in JOLYN?
Torso measurement is most important for finding your accurate one piece size. If you are in between torso measurements or know your torso runs long we recommend sizing up!
Are Jolyn suits supposed to be tight?
The straps do need to be pretty tight to keep everything in place, but because we spend so much time strapped in, ain’t nobody got time for bruising or chafing after a long set.
What is my swimsuit size?
Take Your Swimwear Measurements With a tape measure, you can quickly figure out your swimsuit size. While standing in your underwear (don’t wear your normal clothes, or you won’t get accurate figures), wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your bust and jot down how large it is.
How do I keep my swimsuit bottoms from sagging?
- If the swimsuit is sagging around the bottom area then try choosing a smaller back size and a bigger cup to accommodate the bust and give the bottom a snug fit.
- Shop for swimwear bottoms that cover the important areas and fit snugly but not too tightly.
Do swimsuits stretch over time?
Swimsuits stretch over time, so this problem is just going to get worse as you wear it. When you try on your style, move around in it, and make sure everything stays exactly where it should be when you do — that’s the mark of a piece that fits well.
